Steven Bardin Owner/Fisheries Biologist 

Steven obtained his bachelor’s degree in Freshwater Biology from Tarleton State University in 2009 and his master’s degree in Fisheries Science from Texas A&M in 2013. While at Tarleton Steven worked for Harrell Arms at Arms Fish Farm and Bait Company. In 2011 he founded Texas Pro Lake Management. He strives every day to take a scientific approach to helping his clients maximize the production of their fisheries. 

Outside of TPLM Steven has written for Wired2Fish, taught as an adjunct professor for Tarleton State University, and served as an instructor and camp coordinator for Bass Brigade youth leadership camp. In 2021 Steven helped Major League Fishing found their Fisheries Management Division and leads their conservation efforts today.

Steven is a member of Texas Aquatic Plant Management Society, Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society, Southern Division of American Fisheries Society, Society of Lake Management Professionals, Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame Board, Texas Brigades Board, Texas Freshwater Fisheries Advisory Committee, and the Major League Fishing Anglers Association Board.

Kanyan Klein Assistant Fisheries Biologist 

Kanyan obtained her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Sustainability and Ecosystem Sciences with double minors in Fisheries and Biology from Tarleton State University in 2020. While in undergrad Kanyan completed a summer internship with Texas Pro Lake Management in 2018. Following graduation she worked as a seasonal hatchery fisheries technician for Texas Parks and Wildlife at the TFFC Hatchery. She then returned to Tarleton State University and completed her MBA in 2021. 

Kanyan’s role at TPLM includes servicing lake management accounts located west of Fort Worth and working directly with Steven on a daily basis. Outside of TPLM Kanyan currently assist in the management of American Fisheries Societies Habitat Section social media and blog accounts, serves as an instructor Bass Brigade summer youth leadership camp, is Texas Parks and Wildlife Angler Education certified, and provides social media management to Professional Angler Gary Klein. 

Kanyan is a member of Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society, Texas Wildlife Association, Bass Brigade secretary treasurer, serves on the Women of Aquatics board of directors, and American Fisheries Society Habitat Section. 


Tommy Johnson GIS Technician 

Tommy obtained his bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Sustainability and Ecosystem Science with an emphasis in Fisheries Science and double minors in Biology and Wildlife in 2020 from Tarleton State University. While in undergrad Tommy was the President of the Tarleton State University Subunit of the Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society. 

Tommy is a remote employee who creates GIS maps for watershed studies, aquatic plant applications, and lake construction. Tommy also works for TPWD Inland Fisheries as an assistant district biologist and is currently completing his masters degree from the  University of Florida in Fisheries and Aquatic Science.

Tommy is a member of Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society, a Bass Brigade Instructor, and serves as the Co-Chair of the Emerging Technologies section of the AFS Anglers Survey Committee. 

Ryan Seymour Research Associate 

Ryan obtained his bachelor’s degree in Aquatic Biology and Fisheries Management from Ball State University in 2018 and his master’s of Biology from Texas Christian University in 2020. 

He currently works full time as an Environmental Scientist for the Trinity River Authority of Texas conducting water quality and biological monitoring around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Ryan holds an Associate Fisheries Professional certification from the American Fisheries Society, and has fisheries work experience in the states of Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. 


Ryan currently serves in a contract role as a research associate for TPLM. He leads a new effort for the organization to publish TPLM’s fisheries techniques and research findings in peer reviewed fisheries journals to advance the field.


Ryan is a member of the American Fisheries Society, North American Native Fisheries Association and servers as a reviewer for the Hutton Jr. Fisheries program.

Hayden Osborn  Student Fisheries Tech 

Hayden is currently working towards his bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Ecology and Management from Tarleton State University with an expected graduation in summer 2024. He is a member of the Tarleton State University Subunit of the Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society. 

Hayden completed a summer internship with TPLM in 2022 and upon finishing was hired to serve as a student fisheries tech. In his role with TPLM Hayden completes field work and implements vegetation control plans for clients. Once he completes his degree Hayden plans to move back to east Texas and service lake management accounts in the Tyler/DFW area. 

Hayden is a member of Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society and is Texas Parks and Wildlife Angler Education certified

Briley Loudermilk  Student Fisheries Tech 

Briley is currently working towards his bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Ecology and Management from Tarleton State University with an expected graduation in summer 2024. He serves as President of the Tarleton State University Subunit of the Texas Chapter of American Fisheries Society. 

Briley completed a summer internship with TPLM in 2023 and upon finishing was hired to serve as a student fisheries tech. In his role with TPLM Briley supports the team to complete field work and generates online content for Wired2Fish. Once he completes his degree Briley plans to move back home to Abilene and service lake management accounts in the Abilene area.

Chris Echols  Contract Fisheries Tech 

Chis is obtained bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Sustainability and Ecosystem Science from Tarleton State University in 2019. During his undgrad studies Chris completed an internship with TPLM. Following graduation he moved to east Texas where he presued fisheries management. 

Chris currently serves a contract role fulfiling lake management programs in east Texas and providing live fish hauling services to TPLM clients.
